Things to Consider Before Choosing a Tinter
Before you get your vehicle windows tinted by anyone, here are some important things that you definitely should be considering before choosing your next tint company.
First off, let me mention 3 things that we consider are the most important factors with the actual film quality and the application process:
1. Custom Fit

At The Tint Professor all our installations are Custom Fit. This means we tint below the rubber line, so the edge of the film never sees daylight and won't peel later when the rubber gets harder. We take the film right to the edge of the window and bevel off, so there is no gap and it looks part of the window.
As an added quality control measure all our tinters follow our 8 point checking process.
2. Fully Metalized Film
It is really important you get a fully metalised film. If the film is not metalised it will go purple, bubble and fade. I am sure you have seen it and how awful it looks. When it first is applied it looks fantastic, same as ours, but after about 12 months it deteriorates and goes purple.
All Tint Professor's films are Metalized Film. The metal is woven through the film which gives it strength and acts like a barrier to reflect the sun's harmful rays to protect the interior of the car. Take a look at our tint products page here
3. Warranty
Most of the bigger tinting companies offer a lifetime warranty at the moment. But when you open up the warranty card and read the fine print you will discover there are 6 or 7 conditions that make the film null and void.
So in the unlikely event there is a problem you can rest assured that the problem will be fixed! Simple as that. Plus we go even further than any other tint company.
